Hay-on-Wye, our local town.

If you are not staying with us, there is a good choice of local accommodation.

We are located at LD2 3UJ, between Erwood and Painscastle. We are north of Talgarth, south of Builth Wells and north west of Hay-on-Wye.  A good place to start is www.visithay.co.uk

We have not stayed at any of these places but have had recommendations for many of them and they are all within a 20 minute drive. If you are using other accommodation sites, please do check the distances from our postcode before booking.

General information

Hay Tourism B&B list

B&B/guest houses

The River Cafe, Glasbury.  Good food, fantastic location right next to the River Wye, and affordable. All spot-on. (This is a very popular venue, and there may be some noisy nights on summer weekends...)

The Felinfach Griffin, Brecon.  Great food, we've eaten there several times. Lovely rooms too, by all accounts.

Maesyronnen B&B.  This is the nearest B&B to us, and it looks lovely and has good reviews on Tripadvisor.

Hafod-y-Garreg, Erwood.  This is a bit special if you like old houses - it's thought to be the oldest house in Wales, built in 1402.  Amazing-sounding meals served by the owners.

Hotels

Llangoed Hall, Llyswen.  Pricey and pretty.
